Mission Outreach at Union

Balm in Gilead (BIG) Ministry International, Inc.:

A few years ago the BIG Ministry started with just a handful of people who wanted to do something for children in Africa. The Union Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, has chosen to enter into partnership with The BIG Ministry (started by the Maynard United Methodist Church’s pastor, Abiot Moyo, and his wife Tsitsi). Our church donates money to send girls to school in Zimbabwe. If these girls do not go to school, they will be sold into slavery or become prostitutes by the age of 12. By donating money for their education, we are helping to change the lives of these girls and their families. More information on BIG
